Behind the Lens: Emmanuel Sanchez Monsalve
This project documents photographer Emmanuel Sanchez Monsalve during two studio productions in 2022, following the creative process from preparation through execution. A New York–based photographer raised in Miami by Colombian immigrant parents, Monsalve’s work often explores movement, identity, and cultural representation through photography. Observed behind the scenes, the images focus on collaboration, technical decision-making, and the quieter moments that shape the final photograph before it reaches publication.
